Guardrail posts bear the load of the whole protection system. In case of collision, posts work with energy-absorbing components to absorb impact and reduce accident damage. Round tube posts, square tube posts and H-section steel posts are widely adopted in export projects.
Round tube posts are easy to manufacture with great universality and the largest consumption in global highway projects. Square tube posts have higher section stiffness for high-risk sections. H-section steel posts perform well in bending resistance, ideal for main roads with heavy traffic.
Two common installation methods: driving installation and embedded installation. Driving installation requires no concrete foundation, fast construction for areas with good soil condition. Embedded installation needs concrete base, with stronger pull-out resistance, suitable for soft soil and steep slopes.
Geological survey is required before construction to confirm post burial depth and spacing. Proper burial depth is critical to guarantee the guardrail meets required crash level. We supply complete sets including posts, spacers and bolts, custom dimensions available according to drawings.
