Flat Bar

Flat Bar

Flat steel refers to steel that is rolled or processed into a square cross-section. Square steel can be divided into hot-rolled and cold-rolled types; the size range is 3-200mm, and the length can be customized.

This product is hot-rolled flat steel, made of high-quality carbon structural steel by hot rolling. It has a rectangular section with regular size, flat surface and uniform thickness. It features good bending resistance, compression resistance, and excellent weldability, cuttability and drillability. With high dimensional accuracy and no obvious defects such as cracks, slag inclusions or folds, it is widely used in steel structures, machinery manufacturing, frame supports, hardware parts, fences, bases, stamping parts and metal components, suitable for high requirements on strength, flatness and processability.

Common Materials

Common materials for flat steel are mainly carbon structural steels, some customers specify low-alloy high-strength steels.

Standard grades:Q235B, Q355B, SS400, A36, S235JR, S355JR Q235B, SS400, A36 are general structural grades with high cost performance; Q355B, S355JR feature higher strength for heavy-duty structures.

Common Grades: Q235B (equivalent to A36, S235JR, SS400), Q355B (equivalent to A572 Grade 50, S355JR), complying with Chinese, US, European & Japanese standards.
