Channel steel is a kind of long structural steel with a concave cross-section, a classic hot-rolled section steel widely applied in engineering construction and mechanical manufacturing. It is mainly made of high-quality carbon structural steel and low-alloy high-strength structural steel, processed by hot rolling as the core process, with the characteristics of reasonable section stress distribution, excellent load-bearing capacity and good processability. It is divided into hot-rolled channel steel and cold-formed channel steel according to the manufacturing process, and can be customized with different specifications to meet the diverse needs of various industrial scenarios.

Características principales

  • Excellent Structural Load-bearing Capacity: The concave cross-section design enables uniform stress on the web and flange, with strong bending and pressure resistance, suitable for bearing structural components.
  • Superior Processability: Easy to perform welding, cutting, drilling, bending and other processing operations, and the processed joints have high stability and firmness.
  • Good Mechanical Properties: Maintains high tensile and yield strength at room temperature, with moderate toughness and ductility, and no obvious deformation under normal load.
  • High Dimensional Accuracy: The hot-rolled/cold-formed precision process ensures the consistency of section size, small tolerance and good straightness of the finished product.
  • Cost-effectiveness: Adopts common carbon steel/low-alloy steel as raw material, with low production cost and high performance, suitable for large-scale engineering application.
  • Customizable Performance: Can be processed by galvanizing, painting, shot blasting and other surface treatments to improve corrosion resistance and adapt to different working environments.

Producción y tipos

  • Manufacturing Processes: Hot rolling (the main process for standard channel steel) for hot-rolled channel steel; roll forming + high-frequency welding for cold-formed channel steel.
  • Product Forms: Hot-rolled channel steel (ordinary and light series), cold-formed channel steel; available with fixed length, random length and customized cutting according to customer requirements.
  • Surface Treatments: Natural hot-rolled surface, hot-dip galvanizing, electro-galvanizing, epoxy painting, shot blasting and derusting (Ra ≤ 3μm for general structural use).
