Material
The commonly used materials in China are generally Q235A, Q235B, 0Cr13, 1Cr17, 00Cr19Ni11, 1Cr18Ni9, 0Cr18Ni11Nb, 16Mn, 20#, Q345, L245, L290, X42, X46, X70, X80, etc. Among them, X42, X46, X56, X80 and other materials are in accordance with the API standards.
Application
Straight seam steel pipes are mainly used in China for water supply projects, petrochemical industry, chemical industry, power industry, agricultural irrigation, and urban construction.
For liquid transportation: water supply, drainage.
For gas transportation: gas, steam, liquefied petroleum gas.
For structural purposes: used as pile driving pipes, for bridges; for docks, roads, and building structures, etc.
Other welded pipes
Welded steel pipes
Welded steel pipes: Also known as welded pipes, they are made by cutting steel strips into narrow steel bars, then cold processing with molds to form tubular shapes. Then, a special welding machine then welds one pipe seam. The outer weld seam is polished to a smooth finish. Generally, the inner burrs of ordinary welded pipes are not machined. Only precision welded pipes have inner burrs.
Corrosion resistance classification: Welded steel pipes refer to steel pipes with seams that are formed by bending steel strips or plates into shapes such as circles or squares and then welded. According to different welding methods, they can be classified as arc welding pipes, high-frequency or low-frequency resistance welding pipes, gas welding pipes, furnace welding pipes, and Bondi pipes. According to the shape of the weld seam, they can be divided into straight seam welded pipes and spiral welded pipes. Arc welding pipes are used in oil drilling and extraction and in the machinery and manufacturing industries, etc. Furnace welding pipes can be used as water gas pipes, etc. Large-diameter straight seam welded pipes are used for high-pressure oil and gas transportation, etc.; Spiral welded pipes are used for oil and gas transportation, pipe piles, bridge piers, etc. Welded steel pipes have lower costs and higher production efficiency compared to seamless steel pipes.
Straight seam pipes
Are made by bending steel plates or steel strips and then welding them together. According to the form of the weld seam, they are divided into straight seam welded pipes and spiral welded pipes. According to their uses, they are classified as general welded pipes, galvanized welded pipes, oxygen blowing welded pipes, wire sleeve pipes, metric welded pipes, idler pipes, deep well pump pipes, automotive pipes, transformer pipes, electric welded thin-walled pipes, electric welded special-shaped pipes, and spiral welded pipes.
