Hot-dip galvanized PPGI steel
The primary substrate used is hot-dip galvanized steel plate. Due to the protection provided by the zinc layer and organic coating, its service life is longer than that of hot-dip galvanized steel plate. The recommended zinc layer thickness is 275 grams per square meter.
Galvanized PPGI steel
Galvanized steel sheets are used as the base material. Due to the thin zinc coating of galvanized steel sheets, typically 20g/㎡, their corrosion resistance is inferior to that of hot-dip galvanized steel sheets. Therefore, this product is not suitable for outdoor walls and roofs. However, it features an attractive appearance and excellent process ability, making it primarily used in household appliances, steel furniture, and interior decoration.

Surface treatment
Coating
This process involves applying a thin layer of transparent organic film (30-50 microns) onto the steel coil at high temperatures. It possesses several unique properties, such as fire resistance, resistance to fingerprints, excellent durability, and stain resistance, among others. Clearly, this treatment method can effectively protect the steel coil during storage and transportation.
Stamping
The stamped PPGI steel coils are designed with various patterns. The popular patterns include stucco, diamonds, etc. Moreover, it is customizable. Compared to the smooth steel coils, it has a vivid 3D effect.
Coating types
In coil steel coatings, the components that contribute to durability are resins and pigments. The most commonly used topcoats include polyester, silicone-modified polyester, high durability polyester, and polyvinylidene fluoride, etc.
Polyester PE
Good adhesion, rich colors, wide range in molding performance and outdoor durability, medium chemical resistance, and low cost.
Silicone-modified polyester SMP
Good hardness, wear resistance, and heat resistance of the coating film; excellent external durability, anti-frosting property, gloss retention, average flexibility, medium cost.
High durability polyester HDP
Excellent color retention and UV resistance, excellent outdoor durability and anti-frosting property, good coating adhesion, rich colors, excellent cost-performance ratio.
Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF)
Excellent color retention and UV resistance, excellent outdoor durability and anti-frosting properties, excellent solvent resistance, good molding properties, anti-stain properties, limited color range, high cost.
